stands for CONFERENCE MONDIALE
DES INSTITUTIONS UNIVERSITAIRES CATHOLIQUES
DE PHILOSOPHIE. It was founded in Rome in April 1999; the creation of this organisation was officialised at the General Assembly at UNESCO, Paris, in March 2000. It is an emanation of IFCU, the world network of Catholic universities. Constitutionally, its members are the faculties and chairs of philosophy of the Catholic universities ; at present, there are 60 members, representing 35 countries on the 5 continents.
